Nike’s Buzziest Air Max 95 of 2025 Lands This Week
Last year, James Whitner’s A Ma Maniére cemented itself as one of Nike’s hottest and most high-profile collaborators. Ever since linking up on a much-hyped Air Jordan 3 back in 2021, the partnership has continued to pair a tastefully understated aesthetic with masterful storytelling. At this point, you can identify a Maniére sneaker well before you see the logo. The bar is high, but this latest release clears it with ease, perhaps even setting a new standard by which future AMM x Nike sneakers will be judged.
This week, A Ma Maniére is releasing the ‘Every Summer Tells a Story’ pack, which features ultra-clean versions of the Air Force 1 and Air Max 95. The latter is the true standout—a stunning spin on the beloved Swoosh silhouette, which is currently celebrating its 30th anniversary. This latest edition isn’t Maniére’s first go at the 95—there was the much-coveted ‘While You Were Sleeping’ drop from last year, as well as a dark-hued ‘Hand Wash Cold’ colorway in March—but it’s easily the cleanest yet.
The Air Max 95’s signature stripes start at the base of the upper in a mellow taupe, with the earthy shades getting darker until it builds to a deep, rich violet that’s become a signature element of the Maniére look. Clay tones and a touch of gray finish out a complex colorway, anchored by a creamy sole, soft lavender laces, and a violet bubble. For the real heads wondering, the silhouette is not of the ‘Big Bubble’ variety some other recent retros worked with, which bears a closer resemblance to the original silhouette that dropped back in the ’90s.
The A Ma Maniére x Nike Air Max 95 ‘Every Summer Tells a Story’ drops on June 27 for $200 via the AMM website.
