Oscar Isaac Is on a Tremendous Watch Heater

As the Frankenstein publicity circuit goes into overdrive, it’s fair to say that over the past few days Oscar Isaac has achieved what few (if any) other Hollywood stars have been able to: upstage Jacob Elordi. His fits have been top-notch, but it’s not just his clothes. He’s also been on what can only be described as a major horological tear. Four watches. Four days. Zero warning. If you felt a sudden chill in the air, that wasn’t winter incoming; it was Oscar Isaac channeling full Frankenstein energy, jolting us to life with every wildly different watch he stitched into his rotation.

And no, this isn’t just random accessorizing. Four watches in four days is the sort of flex that only someone who has entered the “I know exactly who I am now” era can pull off.

Horological consultant and creative director Young Brando of the YouTube channel Watches ’n Style caught the whole saga in real time, starting with an Audemars Piguet Isaac wore at Chateau Marmont. To Brando’s seasoned eye, it was obvious: Isaac wasn’t just messing about. He was making deliberate, very grown-up collector moves.

Brando explains: “It certainly speaks to his authenticity and maturity as a watch collector. Occasion be damned, as collectors, we sometimes go through multiple watches in a single day; we want to give airtime to every single piece in our collection!”

But then he adds something very Isaac-coded: “The majority of his other sartorial choices may well be dictated by his stylist, by his endorsements, or, simply, by the occasion… what he chooses to wear on his wrist may well be the only thing that is left to him for authentic personal expression!” Translation: the man is silently communicating his inner world through micro-machinery.

Naturally, we’re here to examine the goods more closely.
