A$AP Rocky Found Not Guilty in Gun Trial

After A$AP Rocky’s nearly month-long trial that provided everything from intense cross-examinations, Rihanna appearances, and A$AP Twelvyy nearly violating the first rule of AWGE (read: Never reveal what AWGE means), and some typically very sharp suits from Rocky, we finally have a verdict in Rocky’s case on assault with a semiautomatic firearm: Not Guilty.

To recap: Rocky was arrested in April 2022 in connection to an event that allegedly occurred in November 2021, wherein Rocky and longtime A$AP crew member Relli got into an altercation over their since-soured friendship. Relli alleged that Rocky fired a gun at him, while Rocky and his defense countered that it was a prop gun that Rocky keeps on him for security.

The case finally went to trial in January, wherein Rocky rejected a plea deal to one assault charge and serving 180 days in county jail with three years probation and a seven-year suspended prison sentence. Many pundits commented that Rocky was taking a risky gamble in not accepting the plea, sentiments that probably committed to Rocky profusely thanking God after the verdict and diving into the stands to hug Rihanna and his mother as soon as the jury foreman uttered the words.
