Altoona temple offering blessings to pets during annual ceremony
ALTOONA, Pa. (WTAJ) — Members of the Temple Beth Israel are set to gather this weekend for an annual ceremony involving their pets.
The Blessing of the Animals will take place at the Reform synagogue on Sunday, Oct. 20 at 12:15 p.m. The ceremony will take place in the rose garden where there will be prayers and treats for everyone’s furry friends.
Rabbi Audrey Korotkin will host the event along with her new rescue puppy Carly. Donations will also be collected during the ceremony for the Central PA Humane Society.
