Could Jelly Roll be headed to TV? That’s what this celeb is hoping for

Snoop Dogg would be happy to see Jelly Roll join The Voice.
The beloved rapper, 53, said as much when he was interviewed by E! News ahead of the first part of The Voice‘s season 26 finale on Monday, December 9. When asked who he’d like to be seated next to, if he were to return for another season of judging, Snoop name-dropped the “Best For Me” singer.
“I like Jelly Roll ’cause Jelly Roll’s got a great story of redemption and hope, and a lot of people are inspired by him,” Snoop said of the country star. (Jelly Roll was a special guest performer on The Voice during the second part of the season 25 finale in May.)
Perhaps they could appear together on a future season of The Voice, but it won’t be season 27, as Carson Daly shared that news during part two of the finale. Michael Bublé will return, joined by returning coaches from previous seasons: John Legend, Kelsea Ballerini, and the “O.G.” coach, Adam Levine.
The “Drop It Like It’s Hot” rapper went into the finale with one contestant, Jeremy Beloate, who ended up placing fifth. Sofronio Vasquez from Bublé’s team took home the big win. Snoop praised his fellow coach, who he seems to have bonded with throughout this season.
“That’s my dog. He’s got [a] beautiful family, and that’s what I connect with. I connect with family men,” he told E! when asked about their “bromance.”
The family man then shared a glimpse at what the holidays look like at the Snoop house. “I usually become Santa Claus because he never really showed up around our house,” he shared. “So I have to become the fat man with the red suit annually.”
Snoop shared his plans to bring holiday cheer a week after it was revealed just how generous he was, gifting his daughter $1 million dollars for her wedding. He shared the shocking gift while appearing with daughter Cori Broadus on the December 2 episode of The Jennifer Hudson Show.
While answering a fill-in-the-blank question about “the most over-the-top gift” he’d given his daughter, Snoop — whose real name is Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr. — answered, “It’s the truth, but the only thing about this gift is she never got to open it, or she hasn’t opened it yet. It was a million dollars for her wedding.”
