Frozen shrimp sold at Jewel-Osco recalled after FDA warns of possible radiation
CHICAGO (WGN) — Frozen shrimp sold at a major grocery chain is now under scrutiny after the FDA expanded a recall tied to possible radioactive contamination.
The recall now includes frozen raw shrimp sold at Jewel-Osco stores under the Waterfront Bistro brand. The affected products have best by dates of April 25 and April 26, 2027.

According to the FDA, more than 83,000 bags of frozen raw shrimp imported from Indonesia are being recalled because they may be contaminated with a radioactive isotope.

So far, no illnesses have been reported. Consumers who purchased the recalled shrimp are urged to throw it away or return it to the store where it was purchased.
