Hailey Bieber Heralds the Return of This Divisive Shoe Trend

Following the event, Bieber was joined by her husband Justin—in his usual style of fits, comprising of baggy jeans, an even roomier leather jacket, and cap—and the pair were spotted heading for dinner at Funke with friends in Beverly Hills. Hailey added a faux fur coat.

More ladylike shoe trends continue to emerge. Recent BAFTA winner Mikey Madison is a fan of Ferragamo’s patent t-bar sandal. The T-bar heel harks back to the ’40s and ’50s, a polite shoe silhouette worn often by Audrey Hepburn and repped also by everyone from Zoe Saldaña to Ariana Grande, in Jimmy Choo and Khaite respectively.

The peep-toe’s comeback has been quiet yet assured, with some more modern updates: by way of Tory Burch’s sculpted peep-toe pumps with a crescent heel, Magda Butrym’s floral detail heels with a pearl just kissing the exposed toe, textured Alaïa slip-ons, and Dries Van Noten’s treble toe enveloping, piggie-baring mules. And with it still not being warm enough yet for bare legs and feet, a peep-toe paired with a sheer tight offers another teasing, sensual feeling layer a la Hailey Bieber.
