Hamas says it will return hostage remains at 8 p.m.
Hamas returned remains on Monday night, which belonged to the deceased hostage Ofir Tzarfati.
Hamas said that it will return the remains of an additional deceased hostage at 8 p.m. on Tuesday night in a statement earlier that afternoon.
Hamas claims to have found the remains of the hostage while searching a tunnel in Khan Yunis, according to Army Radio’s Doron Kadosh.
Hamas-linked media published photographs of terrorists wearing oxygen masks entering the tunnel to locate the remains, Kadosh added.
Hamas returned remains on Monday night, which belonged to the deceased hostage Ofir Tzarfati, the Prime Minister’s Office confirmed earlier in the day.
Tzarfati was pronounced dead after his remains were returned to Israel during an IDF and Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) operation in December 2023. Additional remains of Tzarfati were brought to Israel in March 2024.

Hostage Families Forum slam Hamas’s psychological warfare
The Hostages and Missing Families Forum slammed Hamas and its continued psychological warfare, following the circulation of a video showing the organization’s burial and “discovery” of Ofir Tzarfati’s remains on Tuesday.
The video, filmed by an IDF drone that had been in the area, shows Hamas members placing Tzarfati’s remains in a freshly dug hole before covering the remains with dirt.
“Hamas’s repeated violations prove what we have known and said all along,” the forum wrote.
This is a developing story.
