‘I am not afraid’: Ben-Gvir unmoved after footage shows Hamas planning his abduction before Oct. 7
Ben-Gvir also renewed his efforts to dismantle the grave of the terrorist Izz ad-Din al-Qassam, founder of the Black Hand and known as “the Arab Joseph Trumpeldor.”
National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir on Saturday said he remains undeterred by Hamas assassination attempts after Channel 13 News aired footage of terrorists training to abduct him before October 7.
The footage shows the terrorists using a mask of Ben-Gvir’s face to practice the kidnapping, pushing the fake Ben-Gvir into a vehicle, and pretending to drive him back to the Gaza Strip.
“This joins the six other occasions on which those cursed ones tried to harm my family and me,” Ben-Gvir said on X. “I am not afraid!”
Ben-Gvir’s goals unchanged by assassination attempts
Ben-Gvir also renewed his efforts to dismantle the grave of the terrorist Izz ad-Din al-Qassam, founder of the Black Hand and known as “the Arab Joseph Trumpeldor.”
“The grave of the arch-terrorist Izz ad-Din al-Qassam in Naser needs to be blown up. And yesterday, early in the morning, we took the first step,” he wrote on X.
Ben Gvir has previously been targeted by assassination attempts, including an explosive drone plot thwarted by the Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) in September 2025, and a plan to attack him in Kiryat Arba using rocket-propelled grenades in April 2024.
Ben-Gvir added that he was determined to continue his work, including changing the prison system, reforming gun-ownership laws, demolishing illegal homes in the Negev, and advancing sovereignty over the Temple Mount.
“The time has come to create a death penalty for terrorists,” he said, adding that “it is the power we have to break their motivation.”
