Israeli strike hits target in southern Lebanon, army says
Israel struck a Hezbollah headquarters in southern Lebanon’s Nabatiyeh area on Monday, the army said.
According to the Lebanese Health Ministry, at least eight people were wounded in the strike, including four children and three women.
The Israeli army said the attack targeted a Hezbollah facility in Nabatiyeh, arguing that its presence in the area violated past understandings between Israel and Lebanon.

It accused the group of rebuilding its military infrastructure “while endangering Lebanon’s civilians and using them as human shields.”
A Lebanese security source told dpa that Israeli warplanes carried out the strike with precision-guided rockets, hitting the parking area and ground floor of a building in the town.
Local civil defence teams evacuated residents from nearby buildings amid fears of further bombardment.
The raid comes amid an escalation in the Gaza war.
