Jacob Elordi Keeps Rocking Frankenstein-Coded Cartier Watches
It’s not easy being green—and as Frankstein’s monster in Guillermo Del Toro’s upcoming Franksenstein, Jacob Elordi knows a thing or two about that. In addition to all the drapey suits and elite jackets he’s been wearing to the film’s various promotional events, the Australian star has been taking full advantage of his Cartier ambassadorship with a series of covetable on-theme timepieces.
At the Paris premiere of Frankenstein last Friday, Elordi sported a gorgeous Cartier Tank à Guichets in yellow gold with a leather strap in a deep shade of earthy green. Originally released in 1928, the Guichet has long been one of the rarest Cartier timepieces on the planet. “More people have probably experienced the Crash in person than the [original] Guichet,” watch dealer Mike Nouveau told GQ earlier this year. The watch became a little more attainable in 2025, however, thanks to a revival that debuted at Watches and Wonders. It still isn’t exactly attainable, with the cheapest model of the revival retailing for a hefty $47,700, but friends of the brand like Elordi don’t really have to stress numbers like that.

Elordi kept the green going with a classic Tank Louis Cartier at the BFI London Film Festival on Monday, opting for a version with an ivy green face, yellow gold case, and matching green leather strap. It’s kept a cool pattern going as the actor promotes the film, paying homage to the iconic monster he portrays without delving into anything too corny or cosplay-adjacent.

With Frankenstein hitting theaters for a limited run this Friday, October 17, and a Netflix release a few weeks later on November 7, Elordi has plenty of runway left on this press tour. Keep an eye out for green on his wrist as he keeps it rolling.
