Jesse Plemons Is Absolutely Crushing Peak Fall Style
According to New York State’s official Fall Foliage Report (yes, a real thing that exists), the leaves are hitting their apex this week. Meanwhile, Jesse Plemons has been making the rounds in New York City to promote Bugonia, the latest flick from mind-bending director Yorgos Lanthimos. And if the Oscar-nominated actor’s outfits are any indication, we’re here to report that big-time fall style is damn near hitting its peak, too.
Plemons’ autumnal fashion run kicked off on Sunday at a screening in the East Village alongside Lanthimos and co-star Emma Stone, where he wore a faded brown fine-wale corduroy shirt—weighty, cozy, textured, and precisely the kind of layer you want on a crisp October evening. He paired it with black trousers, subtly reinforcing a long-overlooked truth: black and brown absolutely belong together. (This is especially true during fall and winter months.) The next morning, he dropped by the SiriusXM studios in a look that leaned into more classic earth tones: a crisp pair of perfectly cuffed khakis and an olive chore jacket. Plus, his moc-toe stompers added an additional element of seasonal ruggedness.
