Leave Me Alone—I’m Locked In on Ralph Lauren’s Black Friday Sale
Ralph Lauren should be knighted. I know he’s not British and that he already received the Medal of Freedom, the highest honor bestowed upon an American civilian. That simply ain’t enough. He’s a GOAT among sheep; a god among men. He’s fashion royalty of the most esteemed order, a living legend who changed menswear forever. I guess you could say I’m a fan.
Here’s the thing, though: while I’d gladly pay full price for the guy’s designs, I simply can’t. At this point in my life, I can pretty much only satisfy my hankering via the vintage market or the sale section. (If anyone from Ralph Lauren’s PR department is reading this, please put me on the flow team at your convenience.) And while I’m not famous enough to secure the homie discount—and remain a little afraid of how much old Polo is on my eBay watch list—as luck would have it, the Ralph Lauren sale section is absolutely bumping right now.
Yes, the greatest American designer/world-builder/vibe-constructor of all time just leveled his prices by 30%, a Black Friday discount that extends to nubbly Fair Isle sweaters, vintage-adjacent selvedge jeans, Savile Row-inspired suits, and so much more. This is where I’d usually tell you that I perused all of it and cherry-picked the best pieces for you. You’re a little out of luck on that front—I’m working on a tight holiday deadline, and there are literally thousands of items in the mix.
