Marcus Jordan arrest detailed in new documents

Marcus Jordan, son of retired NBA star Michael Jordan, allegedly refused to take a breath test and was “loud, profane and belligerent” after his DUI arrest in Florida on Tuesday, according to court documents reviewed by Newsweek.

Newsweek reached out to Jump Management, the family and business office of Michael Jordan, for comment on the incident.

Marcus is charged with driving under the influence, possession of cocaine and resisting an officer without violence, according to Orange County Circuit Court records.

Marcus, 34, is the second-oldest child of Michael. He played basketball at the University of Central Florida from 2009 to 2012. He also appeared on season two of The Traitors on Peacock in 2024 alongside his then-girlfriend, Larsa Pippen.

An officer with the Maitland Police Department observed a vehicle’s headlights facing south on railroad tracks.

“The vehicle appeared to be on the railroad tracks and not moving,” the arrest affidavit states.

Officials said the vehicle’s tires were partially buried in the dirt and rocks on the tracks from “being spun repeatedly.”

The officer also observed damage to the bumper and tracks in the dirt about 50 feet away from the vehicle.

Police said Marcus was driving the car, a blue Lamborghini SUV. He had slurred speech and bloodshot, glassy eyes, according to the affidavit.

Marcus allegedly admitted that he had some alcoholic drinks prior to driving, but said he was not over the legal limit. Officials said he would get “agitated and irritated quickly.”

Police arrested Marcus for DUI based on “the totality of the circumstances.” An officer then found a “clear plastic baggie with a white powdery substance” inside Marcus’ front pants pocket, according to the affidavit.

The substance tested positive for cocaine and was placed into evidence.

Marcus was then taken to the Orange County DUI Testing Center. Officials said he was “singing the entire way.”

At the testing center, Marcus “exhibited a sarcastic, patronizing attitude” toward his arresting officer, according to a DUI packet filed by the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.

The sheriff’s office listed several “spontaneous” statements Marcus made, including “This is a f*****’ joke,” “Can’t you play some holiday music or some s***,” “Play some Mariah Carey up in this b****” and “I’m just minding my own f*****’ business.”

Marcus refused to take a breath test, according to the sheriff’s office.
