NATO Secretary General takes Danish drone threats ‘very seriously’
NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte has assured Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen of the alliance’s solidarity following drone incidents at Danish airports.
The situation is being taken “very seriously,” Rutte wrote on the X social network after a conversation with Frederiksen.
He added that the allies were working together to ensure “the safety and security of our critical infrastructure.”

Frederiksen later stated that Denmark and NATO had agreed to work together to “ensure safety and security.”
She said she had spoken with Rutte about the “serious situation” in Denmark.
The Danish government says it had experienced a “hybrid attack” following renewed drone sightings at several airports in the country.
Defence Minister Troels Lund Poulsen said at a joint press conference with Justice Minister Peter Hummelgaard in Copenhagen that it seems a “professional” was behind the attack, though it is still unclear who that might have been.
