Oscar Isaac’s Huge-Ass Trousers Are a Sight to Behold
That’s largely thanks to Matthew Henson, the stylist who dressed Isaac in the custom look from designer Eli Russell Linnetz’s SoCal-tinged label ERL. Known for his playful, experimental streak, he’s the same guy who wrapped A$AP Rocky in a rainbow-colored quilt for the 2021 Met Gala and put The Weeknd in those fiery Givenchy suits and black gloves during his After Hours phase. Henson is a master of taking an otherwise normal ensemble and twisting it just a couple degrees off-kilter—and Isaac’s been game for it.
He’s worn Thom Browne skirts. He’s worn cardigans that give off an art professor aura. And at the Venice International Film Festival last month, he even pulled out some pastel pink suits. The wide-leg tux simply feels like the next logical evolution. As British GQ‘s Mahalia Chang recently put it: “Isaac has always dressed well. But these new flowing fits are something else.”
He’s not alone. Brad Pitt, Channing Tatum, Kit Connor—they’ve all joined the Great Hollywood Trouser Expansion of 2025. Because nothing says confidence quite like ginormous pants—and Oscar Isaac’s the latest, greatest proof.
