Paris Men’s Fashion Week: The 36 Biggest (And Most Impractical) Celebrity Fits From Day 1

Every June, the fashion set flocks to Europe not only for vacation but for men’s fashion week, which now routinely falls during some of the hottest days of the season. And since, right now, much of the world currently experiencing summer is entrenched in a heat wave, you know what that means: Famous people dressed impractically for the heat.

Given that the June shows are when designers showcase their collections that will go to market the following spring, the warm-weather overlap (physical summer, conceptual spring) should, theoretically, create an environment of sartorial harmony. And yet, on Tuesday in Paris, celebrities flocked to the Saint Laurent and Louis Vuitton shows in wool suits, leather trousers, knitwear, and big, techy overcoats. Sure, many of those VIPs also happen to be brand ambassadors and are thus contractually obligated to attend the shows while decked out in the houses’ seasonal fashions. But they made the most of it, posing for our photographer Christina Fragkou’s lens amidst the bright sunshine and 90-ish-degree temperatures.

Scroll on to see the best (and most impractical) celeb fashion—featuring the likes of Jay-Z and Beyoncé, Rami Malek, BTS’s J-Hope, and Mark Eydelshteyn—from Day 1 of Paris Fashion Week.
