Tackling West Bank terror: IDF arrests more than 40 suspects, seizes weapons in a week of raids
Personnel from the IDF, Israel Police and Shin Bet confiscated tens of thousands of shekels to be used in terror funding, dozens of weapons, and arrested scores of suspects.
The IDF arrested more than 40 terrorists, killed three terrorists, and seized dozens of weapons from across the West Bank, the military announced on Friday.
The operations, carried out by the IDF, Israel Police, and the Shin Bet, saw hundreds of structures searched. During the efforts, the combined forces uncovered dozens of kilograms of potassium intended for the production of explosives, the military shared while announcing the seizures.
In the Tammoun area, the forces found tens of thousands of shekels, which were reportedly used for terrorist activity. During a search of the Tammoun area, the Menashe Brigade killed three terrorists.

While the combined forces operated throughout the West Bank, combat helicopters provided aerial support to combat threats.

The Shomron Brigade operated in several villages, arresting around 18 terrorists. The soldiers also located and seized weapons, including five handguns and two additional M16 rifles.
The Yehuda Brigade also conducted dozens of raids, arrested 12 Hamas terrorists, and located and seized five lathes used to manufacture weapons in Hebron.
The Ephraim Brigade conducted a nighttime raid in the village of Azzun, where dozens of suspects were interrogated, and weapons were seized. At the same time, in other villages in the Tulkarm area, nine wanted arms dealers were arrested.
Military personnel from the Etzion and Binyamin brigades operated in the village of Beit Umar, where they seized an M16 rifle. During the operation, a terrorist who planned an attack against Israeli forces was arrested, and three additional wanted individuals were arrested in the villages of Biddu, Beit Iksa, and Kafr Aqab.
