This New Tudor Could Easily Make You a Monogamous Watch Collector
Trying to figure out what your one-watch collection would be is a fun game to play if you’re an enthusiast. What’s the watch that you could reasonably wake up every day excited to wear, no matter if you’re going to work, a wedding, or on a hike? Well, there’s a new potential answer from Tudor, which just debuted its most versatile version of its field watch, the Ranger.
The Ranger has long been a fixture in the Tudor lineup. When the brand relaunched in 2013, this model was one of the first it brought back just a year later. And after over a decade of retooling, Tudor may have found a near-platonic ideal of the long-standing model. The new Ranger is like Don Draper: it has classic good looks coming out the wazoo. It lands in 36 and 39mm—two eminently wearable sizes—and comes in either black or a banana-cream-pudding-like shade called Dune. I’ve seen some people online already say the latter isn’t for them, but it’s the one I’d go for here.
