Timex Just Turned Your Favorite Jacket Into a Wildly Luxurious Watch

Along with swaggering Wythe suits, killer sweater polos, and Japanese selvedge chinos, the Todd Snyder Dylan jacket is one of the design king’s true crown jewels. Equal parts American ruggedness and Italian polish, the suede-ified version of a classic denim trucker jacket embodies all of the qualities that make Snyder one of the most-beloved designers of his era.
In addition to outfitting legions of men in natty sport coats and chunky fisherman sweaters, Snyder also has an equally deft hand with watches—the latest of which, the Timex x Todd Snyder Dylan, takes its cues directly from that exact jacket’s refined versatility.
In keeping with Snyder’s omnivorous (but perennially on-point) taste, the designer has lent his creative sauce to a handful of covetable watch brands over the years, from minimalist Italian indie Unimatic to Nashville’s Weiss Watch Co. His most longstanding horological partnership, though, is with Timex, with whom he’s created a dozen sold-out limited-editions, ranging from a take on the ’90s Ironman to the ’70s-inspired MK1 Sky King Chronograph over the last decade.
The Dylan is a worthy successor to the best of these, with a vintage-sized 34mm case, a set of handsome Breguet numerals, and a natural leather strap that evokes the rugged good looks of the Dylan jacket.
“It’s the perfect hybrid,” writes the designer in his latest newsletter. “Refined enough that any maître d’ will take you seriously, casual enough for weekend errands, and rugged enough for real life.” At $149, it’s also remarkably affordable.
Available in somber black and steel or a flashier green and gold-tone variant, the Timex x Todd Snyder Dylan makes a natural complement to just about anything in Snyder’s oeuvre—or your wardrobe—including, naturally, everyone’s favorite suede trucker jacket.
