Timothée Chalamet Unveiled His Knicks-iest Fit Yet for Game 5 at the Garden
The MSG tour didn’t stop there, though. Chalamet linked up with two serious Knicks legends: one from the franchise’s 1970s championship years, and another from its last bout of relevancy in the early 2010s. Forget Jalen Brunson, Karl-Anthony Towns, and Mikal Bridges. The new big three is Timothée Chalamet, Walt “Clyde” Frazier, and J.R. Smith.

Thankfully for Chalamet—who we have to assume will be front and center for Saturday’s Game 6 in Indianapolis as well—his Knicks rallied for an emphatic 111-94 win on Thursday night. There was clearly some good mojo in his outfit, and if Lisan Al-Gaib is a superstitious sports fan like the rest of us, maybe we see this jacket again. Because what’s really more important: your team making the NBA Finals, or being accused of outfit repeating?
With a win like that, which keeps the Knicks dream season going into the weekend, everyone was in good spirits. That includes Chalamet’s girlfriend and front-row companion Kylie Jenner, who had a good sense of humor (and an A1 reference) about the whole thing. After the game, Jenner reposted a TikTok of Sex and the City’s Samantha Jones saying she only gets laid if the Knicks win.

Now that Game 6 is guaranteed, the Knicks have officially progressed as deep into the playoffs as they have in 25 years, when they lost to these same Indiana Pacers in Game 6 of the 2000 Conference Finals. Every game the Knicks play now is life or death, and while we never know what the basketball gods might have in store, we know Chalamet’s Chrome Heart will be pounding through his chest.
