Travis Kelce Just Announced His Engagement to…American Eagle
It’s a good week to be Travis Kelce. Fresh off his engagement to Taylor Swift, the 35-year-old Kansas City Chiefs star scored another major partnership—this time with one of America’s biggest mall brands. Today, American Eagle announced the launch of AE x TK, a new collaboration with Kelce’s lifestyle brand, Tru Kolors.
The 90-piece line feels right in line with Killa Trav’s freewheeling personal style, including beefy plaid flannels, heavyweight work jackets, baggy chenille trousers, and vintage-inspired tees. (There’s also a handful of camo pieces that, not for nothing, feel ripped straight outta Kelce’s recent viral GQ cover shoot.) The collection, which launched today, ranges in price from $15 to $180.
Kelce, who famously doesn’t work with a professional stylist, serves as the creative director of the collection, which AE says was over a year in the making. Part of that role involved Kelce hand-selecting a cast of rising star athletes to join him in the campaign, including University of Connecticut hooper Azzi Fudd, gold medal gymnast Suni Lee, and Ohio State University wide receiver Jeremiah Smith.
“He just loved attention,” Kelce’s mom, Donna, told GQ recently of her youngest son. “Which he still does, God bless him!” After getting engaged to the world’s biggest pop star and announcing a zeitgeisty new collection with AE—hot on the heels of the brand’s lightning rod Sydney Sweeney campaign—safe to say Kelce won’t be hurting for attention this week.
