Trump jokes about his eternal fate: ‘I think I am not maybe heaven-bound’

President Trump joked Sunday that he might not be destined for the Pearly Gates.

Mr. Trump had previously mused that brokering a peace deal between Russia and Ukraine could bolster his chances of making it into Heaven.

When asked on Air Force One whether the recent ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas could further bolster his case, Mr. Trump responded with his usual candor, saying he was being a “little cute” when talking about Russia and Ukraine.

“I don’t think there is anything that is going to get me into heaven,” Mr. Trump said.  “I think I am not maybe heaven-bound.”

“I am not sure I am going to be able to make heaven, but I have made life a lot better for a lot of people,” he said,

Mr. Trump also said it could have been even better if the 2020 election had not been “rigged,” which he said led to President Biden’s tenure and the Russia–Ukraine war that he has long said would not have happened if he’d been president.
