Two eastbound lanes of Highway 1 reopen after truck fire near Ben-Gurion Airport
Israel’s Fire and Rescue Authority is on the scene, working to put out the fire before it spreads to nearby fields.
Two eastbound lanes of Highway 1 near the Ben-Gurion Airport junction were reopened after their closure due to a truck catching fire, Israel Police said on Tuesday morning.
The truck is approximately 200 meters from the junction’s entrance, according to N12 News.
Israel’s Fire and Rescue Authority is on site, working to put out the fire before it spreads to nearby fields.

Heavy traffic to continue until truck wreckage is cleared
Israel Police advised drivers to avoid the area due to heavy traffic.
“The traffic is expected to continue for the next few hours until the truck is cleared,” the police said in a statement.
