What 2026 Movies Deserve a Method Dressing Tour?
At the end of 2024, we wondered: Is method dressing over? In 2025, celebrities (and their stylists) answered with a resounding no.
This year, there was no shortage of celebrities whose promotional duties extended to their outfits. To nobody’s surprise, Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo continued their Wicked streak, finishing out two years of sartorial storytelling as Glinda and Elphaba.
Some actors went big with their references. Jodie Turner-Smith pulled Schiaparelli’s motherboard dress in honor of Tron: Ares, while Alexander Skarsgård promoted his BDSM rom-com Pillion by going full leather daddy—including a pair of thigh-high leather Saint Laurent boots. Jacob Elordi, meanwhile, took a subtler approach in a Frankenstein graphic sweater.
And that’s really just to name a few. Throughout 2025, Jenna Ortega, Lindsay Lohan, Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Julia Garner, Sydney Sweeney, and Naomi Watts all used their fashion to highlight their onscreen work.
So what awaits us across the next 12 months? We have some ideas. Read on to see what 2026 movies we think will beget a method dressing tour.
Wuthering Heights
While Emerald Fennell’s forthcoming film is already stirring up conversation thanks to its surprising costumes, Margot Robbie and stylist Andrew Mukamal are already plotting a fashion fantasia for the press tour. “The couture shows are in January. So we can see what comes out of that,” Robbie told British Vogue. Maybe, if we’re lucky, co-star Jacob Elordi will break out the cravat again.

The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping
Elle Fanning, this one’s yours to lose! In the Hunger Games prequel, the stylish star is taking on the role of Effie Trinket, the eccentric Capitol escort. We’re hoping Fanning—and the rest of the cast—will lean into her outré sensibilities.
