WWE Veteran Claims Triple H is “Creatively Bankrupt”

Ever since Paul “Triple H” Levesque took over WWE creative, the promotion has become the most successful it has ever been.

Not only have the stories gotten better, but the wrestlers seem to be happier and have been putting out excellent match after excellent match.

While many fans and experts are happy with the modern WWE, others still long for the way things used to be.

This includes one former pro wrestling personality that has gone so far as to say the Triple H is now “creatively bankrupt.”

During an appearance on “The Hannibal TV,” Vince Russo, a writer and wrestling personality known for his tenures with WWE, WCW, and TNA,

“I watch these shows and all I see are the same angles repeated over and over again and stretched out to nausea,” Russo said.

“That tells me Triple H is creatively bankrupt, so he either needs to step aside and get some people in there that understand writing and know how to write a television show and understand wrestling, or else, like I said, bro, six hours of the WWE, weekly, do you know how old and boring that is gonna get?”

Russo went on to say that, while things will be interesting for WWE heading into WrestleMania, the rest of 2025 will continue to be “more of the same.”

“Yeah, bro, they’ll probably be able to ride the wave from now till WrestleMania,” Russo said. “They got Cena in their pocket, they’ll probably bring The Rock back, Logan Paul’s making a comeback. They’ll pull every rabbit out of that hat.”

“As soon as WrestleMania’s over, bro, and that tank is empty, good luck with six hours of TV every week.”

Triple H’s tenure as head of creative is by no means perfect, but it cannot be denied that some of the best storylines and superstars in modern professional wrestling came during his time in charge.

While the Bloodline story may not be everyone’s cup of tea, it has become wildly popular and established careers for multiple wrestlers. Additionally, the feud between Drew McIntyre and CM Punk has been one of the best storylines this decade. And that’s only two examples.

Have there been some missteps? Yes. But does the good outweigh the bad? Absolutely.
