You Can Turn Your Toyota Crown SUV Into A Ferrari Purosangue If That’s Something You’re Into
I’d be sleeping on the couch if I ever bought a fake Louis Vuitton bag for my significant other. If I tried passing off a Toyota Crown Sport as a V12-powered Ferrari Purosangue, I’d be killed. Japan’s Aero Over, for its part, did an admirable job producing a bodykit to elevate the crossover into a facsimile of a $393,350 Ferrari SUV. However, the end product is still only as Italian as a chicken parmesan sandwich.
Ignoring the attempted replication, Aero Over’s Purosangue body kit injects a level of luster and luxury sorely missing with Crown’s current iterations. It wouldn’t be outrageous to confuse the Crown Sport with the bZ4X. While the front fascia and rear-three-quarters body panels are still indistinguishably Toyota, the subtle changes allow you to suspend your disbelief for a moment and believe you’re in Maranello. Describing the kit, the Drive said:
Well, I hesitate to use the word “elegant” to describe anything with that many LED lights stacked one atop the other out front, but it’s clean. The new front splitter makes the faux grille even larger, making it look like it can ingest more air. Out back, there are now four exhaust outlets and a new bumper to accommodate them. More air in, more air out, right? It’s a look.
A bodykit can’t cover up a hybrid inline-four powerplant, but this Italian-ish Crown Sport does look cool. It’s unclear how much it will cost to transform your Toyota crossover into a Purosangue, but it will definitely be cheaper than buying a new Ferrari.
